Children’s Residential Horse Riding Holidays

We ride every day through the beautiful Exmoor countryside. An itinerary of activities available on request. Accommodation is provided in our cosy farmhouse with views of the fields and stable yard.
All meals are included. There is a cooked breakfast every day with cereal and toast, a picnic or pub lunch and a three course evening meal.
Over the years we have found that most children’s riding ability improves dramatically as they ride for several hours every day over varied terrain, gaining confidence and sharing their experience with enthusiastic peers.
The hearty meals and fresh air usually see them return home with a healthy glow and fond memories as they form long lasting and meaningful friendships with both horses and people. Some children return to holiday together at the same time each year and many of our riding holiday children have now grown up and bring their own children to ride at Pine Lodge!

RIDING HOLIDAY PRICES 2026
Children’s riding holidays are £799 for 4 nights, Monday – Friday. All meals and horse riding included (except day ride pub lunch). Email to reserve your place. A £300 deposit is required from 1st of February 2026, with the balance payment due 4 weeks before your arrival date. Children must be aged 12 and above and able to ride and canter confidently in order to participate. Email us to book
FAMILY AND ADULT RIDING HOLIDAYS
Adults and families can book a stay with horse riding in one of our two dog-friendly self-catering cottages here on the farm, the Horses House and the Teddy House. The Horses House is a converted horse barn situated right on the stable yard, overlooking the stables and the Teddy House is a small cottage tucked in beside the main farmhouse, also overlooking the yard.
We have separated our cottage holidays and horse riding into two businesses. You can find out more about the facilities available in the cottages on our new Pine Lodge Farm Cottages website and book your accommodation there. You do not have to ride with us to stay in one of the cottages, but if you would like to ride during your stay, please mention this when booking and we can arrange this for you. If you are getting back into riding after a long break then it is probably better to start off with shorter rides and build up gradually over the course of your stay.
